Superserien Week 4 Power Rankings

1st. Carlstad Crusaders

In a rematch of last year’s Superserien final, the Crusaders put the hammer down on the Stockholm Mean Machines, outscoring them 49–13! An impressive showing for a team that seems completely unaffected by their narrow CEFL semifinal loss to Thonon. You could pick from a variety of players who stood out for Carlstad, but import RB Tim Schulz deserves a nod, racking up 218 all-purpose yards.

2nd. Örebro Black Knights

The Black Knights only drop one spot because of Carlstad’s dominant win over Stockholm, but they remain a force to be reckoned with. They’ve already beaten the reigning champions this season and will aim to do it again in Week 12 — a matchup likely to determine the number one seed heading into the playoffs.

3rd. Tyresö Royal Crowns

The Royal Crowns beat playoff hopeful Kristianstad in a 43–34 shootout that once again showcased their explosive potential. There were insane stat lines on both sides of the ball. RB Vilgot Valeskog rushed for 100 yards on just 14 attempts, while QB Jared Heywood threw 5 touchdown passes. But the real headlines came on defense: linebackers Rory Nethercott and Caesar Winsnes combined for 13 tackles, 7 TFLs, 6 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles — an all-time stat line. Winsnes now leads the Superserien with 9 sacks in just 6 games and could become a surprise candidate for LB or DL of the Year, depending on how you categorize his position.

4th. Kristianstad Predators

The Predators may have lost, but they rise in the power rankings. Despite falling to Tyresö, Kristianstad remains a strong contender for the #4 seed. With their final two games coming against Oslo and Copenhagen, they control their own destiny: – Win one, and they have a shot at the playoffs. – Win both, and they’re in for sure. What a season it’s been.

5th. Stockholm Mean Machines

The Swedish giants are struggling. An injury-riddled Stockholm team has dropped another game and now sits below both Kristianstad and AIK in the standings. HC Fredrik Pilbäck needs to rally his squad quickly, or SMM could be staring down a disastrous season with a playoff miss. Their final two games? Against a red-hot Tyresö and... a lot of pressure.

6th. AIK

AIK had a much-needed bye week. Now sitting at 3–3 with two games left, they have a unique opportunity: to finish ahead of the Mean Machines for the first time in what feels like forever.

7th. Limhamn Griffins

The Griffins took care of business, beating the Copenhagen Towers 50–22. It’s a great win for a team that has taken a significant step forward since last season. Their final game of the year? Against the reigning champions — Carlstad.

8th. Oslo Vikings

The Vikings need a win. Their upcoming matchups are against Kristianstad and AIK — two teams they’re capable of beating. But both opponents also need victories to meet their own playoff goals. Expect two gritty, high-stakes games — ones worth tuning in for.

9th. Copenhagen Towers

Copenhagen may be struggling overall, but they’ve got a standout star in Mathias Manzanti. The running back rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries, putting him at 486 yards (3rd in Superserien) and 4 touchdowns on the season. A fantastic individual performance in an otherwise underperforming offense.
