1st. Calanda Broncos
The Calanda Broncos remain undefeated in both the NLA and the CEFL, securing their second consecutive CEFL Final appearance. Concerns about injuries to star players appear to be fading, as the team is getting healthy just in time for the crucial stretch of the season.
2nd. Basel Gladiators
The Gladiators look like the clear favorites, alongside the Broncos, to reach the Swiss Bowl. Basel has already clinched home-field advantage for the semifinal, with one regular season game remaining that holds no significance for the standings. Quarterback Sky Noble has emerged as a strong candidate for back-to-back MVP honors, while Sven Riepl is once again a top contender for Offensive Player of the Year.
3rd. Bern Grizzlies
The Grizzlies have been hit hard by injuries, with quarterback Walker Dycus out for the season and key hometown players Dominik Liechti and Tim Hänni missing significant time. In the playoffs, Bern is likely to face Basel for a third time this season, a tough matchup, but an upset could see the Grizzlies reach their first Swiss Bowl since 2022, when they defeated the Broncos.
4th. Thun Tigers
After starting the season with a losing streak, the Tigers are now on a roll and the frontrunners for the final playoff spot. Swiss quarterback Nicolas Leibundgut continues to impress, and the defense has been playing tough, physical football. Notably, no team in the NLA has challenged the Broncos as closely as the Tigers have.
5th. Winterthur Warriors
This year’s Cinderella story continues as the Warriors fight for the fourth playoff seed. Quarterback Loris Lenzlinger is a leading candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year, and the team's high-powered passing offense is a thrill to watch. However, their limits were exposed in last week’s matchup against the Broncos. Now, Winterthur needs to win out and hope the Tigers slip up.
6th. Geneva Seahawks
After enduring a five-game losing streak, the Seahawks bounced back with a gritty road win in the rain against Zurich. However, Geneva will miss the playoffs, a disappointing outcome for a team with high expectations.
7th. St. Gallen Bears
The sophomore slump has hit St. Gallen hard. After a playoff appearance in their first NLA season, the Bears are on track to finish 3–7, falling short of last year’s success.
8th. Zurich Renegades
Zurich continues to struggle with a thin roster. It remains to be seen whether the Renegades will voluntarily move down to the NLB, or if they’ll be forced into a relegation game against the NLB champion.
