LNFA POWER RANKINGS (SLIGHTLY POST) MID-SEASON

1. BLACK DEMONS

Staying unbeaten through the first half of the season in a league that has shown just how balanced it is from top to bottom is no small feat. Black Demons have made it crystal clear that they are the team everyone else is chasing, and at this point it would be a real shock if they did not finish first in the conference.

2. REDS

Sitting on top of the brutal East Conference is more than enough to justify the No. 2 spot. They survived a real scare against a rapidly improving Voltors on Sunday, but now the spotlight shifts to a much bigger concern: can they stay in the race after losing quarterback Alex Pacheco to injury?

3. OSOS

Osos remain second in the West with two huge games left against Black Demons and Mariners. The loss in Zaragoza to open the second half of the season was a painful one, but this team has reloaded and looked noticeably sharper in last Saturday’s clash with Camioneros.

4. DRACS

That dominant win over Pioners in the last round pushed Dracs back into the playoff places, but they are still far from safe. The Catalan powerhouse needs to show more consistency if it wants to lock down a postseason berth. With one more game played than Reds and Firebats, there is almost no margin for error.

5. FIREBATS

One of the best stories in the league this season, and arguably too low at No. 5. Their bye week temporarily pushed them out of the playoff picture, but their destiny is still in their own hands. Based on what they have shown so far, this is absolutely a team that deserves to be in the postseason conversation.

6. HURRICANES

Right now, Hurricanes are basically sitting under the playoff cut line. Last weekend’s heavy loss to Gijón Mariners dropped them to third place in their conference with two games left to play, and now the math is simple: win both or start thinking about what might have been. In a season this tight, mistakes are punished immediately.

7. CAMIONEROS

Camioneros are stuck in the lower half of the standings and head to Zaragoza next Sunday in a game that could decide their season for good. This is a roster with real talent and a team that opened the year with serious ambitions, which is why last Saturday’s convincing loss to Osos felt so damaging. Time is running out.

8. MARINERS

Mariners have spent the season proving they can hang with just about anyone in the league. More than once they have been a play away from taking down top opponents like Osos. Their win over Hurricanes puts them back on track and gives them some breathing room in the fight to stay clear of relegation danger.

9. VOLTORS

Voltors are still winless and sit at the bottom of the East, but the standings do not tell the full story. They have competed in every game and come painfully close to breaking through, only to fall short on the smallest details. They host Firebats this week and then close the season at home against Pioners. It is hard to believe they will miss their shot both times.

10. PIONERS

The historic Catalan club is the lowest-scoring team in the league, and that is the biggest reason they find themselves in serious trouble. Their only win came at home against Voltors, and even that was by just two points. The trip to Mallorca in two weeks could be decisive in the relegation battle, before they close the year against a Reds team that may still be fighting for playoff position. This is danger territory.
