A brand new week of action is upon us and if last weekend was any indication, we’re in for another rollercoaster ride. The stakes are getting higher, the intensity is ramping up, and every play counts just a little bit more. With surprises around every corner and rising stars making their mark, the stage is set for another chapter of unforgettable moments. Which teams will rise, who will fall, and who’s ready to make a statement? Let’s dive into the matchups and see who’s poised to shine moving forward!
1. Vienna Vikings
Their clash with the Rhein Fire was one of the week’s most anticipated matchups, and it absolutely delivered. In a true defensive showdown between two top-tier teams, the Vikings came out just a bit sharper. This was a statement win.
2. Nordic Storm
Still undefeated and steadily climbing. Their consistent, well-rounded performances keep them near the top. After a well-earned bye, their next big test comes against the Galaxy in two weeks on 15/06/25. Circle that date.
3. Rhein Fire
The loss wasn’t a blowout, but some adjustments are needed — especially on special teams. In fairness, the punter stepped up after their kicker sustained an injury, so some mishaps are understandable. They’ll get a rematch against the Musketeers next week. Expect fireworks.
4. Stuttgart Surge
A dominant and composed win. They turned their home field into a nightmare for the Sea Devils and never let up. Can they keep the momentum going against the Munich Ravens? We will find out soon.
5. Frankfurt Galaxy
They stopped the bleeding after a near slip against Paris. A much-needed win to avoid a losing streak, but the margin was razor-thin. Next up: the Centurions — a game they must win to stay relevant.
6. Paris Musketeers
They are sliding in the rankings, but the improvement is obvious. Jaylen Henderson has brought a spark to the offense, and the defense remains solid. They’ve come a long way since Week 1, and this rematch with Rhein Fire could be a lot closer than the last.
7. Munich Ravens
They drop one spot simply because of a bye week. Don’t sleep on them though — there’s talent across the board. This weekend’s matchup against Stuttgart could show just how dangerous they really are.
8. Raiders Tirol
A win is a win, even against a struggling team like Cologne. The QB situation is in flux — French fans might be disappointed as Connor Miller appears sidelined with an injury. The spotlight now shifts to returning QB N’Kosi Perry. Can he deliver an upset against the top-ranked Vikings?
9. Madrid Bravos
Madrid beat the Mercenaries but conceded way too many points. The silver lining: head coach Andrew Weidinger acknowledged the issues and promised improvements (you can catch his postgame comments on our TikTok and Instagram). Next week’s matchup with the Enthroners should allow them to fine-tune things at full speed.
10. Wrocław Panthers
Even on a bye week, the Panthers are moving up thanks to Hamburg’s meltdown. Their next challenge? Hosting the Prague Lions in what should be a morale-boosting matchup in front of their home fans.
11. Hamburg Sea Devils
Welcome to Europe, Taulia. That debut was rough — but let’s be fair, coming from the CFL with different field dimensions and rules isn’t easy. Maybe he was rushed onto the field too early? Time will tell. QB Maack did what he could, but it was too little, too late. They will have a redemption opportunity hosting the Berlin Thunder next week.
12. Prague Lions
It was a David vs. David kind of game this week — and even then, a win would’ve helped morale. The upcoming matchup against Wrocław might be the spark they need to get back on track.
13. Berlin Thunder
No shame in losing to a contender, but Berlin’s offense looked out of sync and Jakeb Sullivan just couldn’t get into rhythm. Next week against Hamburg, they need to show more cohesion — and definitely a sense of urgency.
14. Helvetic Mercenaries
They took advantage of the Bravos’ mistakes, but it wasn’t enough in the end. Time for a reset during the bye week. They will need this time to regroup, refocus, and come back stronger.
15. Fehérvár Enthroners
Seemingly stuck in the same cycle week after week, the Enthroners just keep getting blown out. The Bravos won’t be an easy opponent, but Fehérvár desperately needs to show something in Week 4. Pride is on the line.
16. Cologne Centurions
It’s tough to watch a proud franchise fall this far. There’s still time to right the ship, but next week’s game against the Galaxy could be a make-or-break game. The countdown starts now.
