1st Place: Ancona Dolphins
The Dolphins have been dominant this season. An impressive 9 game win streak took them to the first place of our ranking. The last 3 games have been very convincing, especially the victory over Parma. After that win, they arrive at the playoffs as the clear leaders and favorites for the playoffs. Will they be able to finish what they started?
2nd Place: Firenze Guelfi
Guelfi finished the season the same way they started it, winning. The competitiveness of the division is the only doubt that remains, but surely the victory by 50 over Torino removes doubts about their strength. The team has shown a unique consistency that they hope can translate into the playoffs.
3rd Place: Legnano Frogs
A super convincing end of the season by the Legnano Frogs.
Two dominating victories against mid-ranking opponents, which solidifies their second
place in the division. They will face Torino Giaguari to earn a spot in the semifinal against Firenze. The dream is more alive than ever.
4th Place: Parma Panthers
Not the best season finale for the Parma Panthers who end with a defeat, which leads them to the wild card match against the fearsome Varese Skorpions. This team has shown that it can compete against anybody and has shown glimpses of being great. Do not quite rule out the Panthers from being a title contender.
5th Place: Skorpions Varese
4 games, 4 victories. The team from Varese will arrive at the playoffs with a lot of confidence and with a lot of momentum. The Parma Panthers will be waiting for them with a lot of desire to extinguish the enthusiasm.
6th Place: Torino Giaguari
The Torino Giaguari can be absolutely satisfied with their season finale that took
them to the playoffs. They will now face the Legnano frogs, which is going to be a major test for the guys from Torino.
7th Place: Ferrara Aquile
With the last defeat against Albisola, the season of the Ferrara Aquile ends. A
season, for how it had started, could certainly have had a better ending. The team
will have to continue working and seek continuity aiming for next year.
8th Place: Lazio Marines
Bad season finale for the Lazio Marines who end with 2 defeats even for how hard they fought. There is a lot of potential to work on in this team and surely a lot of work will
be done in view of next year.
9th Place: Milano Rhinos
Anonymous season for the Milano Rhinos who, between a few ups and many
downs, never find continuity of performance. The last victory against Bergamo must be the point from which to start again next year.
10th Place: Bologna Warriors
Good end of the season for the Bologna Warriors who do their duty beating
Bergamo and save themselves from the playouts. The team has shown to have character and know how to fight in times of extreme necessity. These will certainly be the basis from which to start next season.
11th Place: Albisola Pirates
The last good performances are useless for the Albisola Pirates who, despite the
good regular season finale, will have to face the Bergamo Lions in the playouts in a
game that is worth the league. They certainly start as favorites, but will they be able to save themselves?
12th Place: Bergamo Lions
More was expected from this season finale of the Bergamo Lions who confirm their
difficulties by losing 10 games out of 10. A team certainly much more prepared awaits them in the playouts, but in football everything is possible. Will they be able to do the miracle?
CLOSING OUT WITH A DIVISIONS RANKING
Disclaimer: This ranking is aimed at the present. It’s heavily based on what was seen on
the field this week and it will be like that for future weeks as well. Therefore if a team has a
bye they might fall. Of course there is influence from previous accomplishments and future
expectations, but as I said, it is based on the present!
