IFL Power Ranking - Week 6

1. Guelfi Firenze

Yes, Guelfi Firenze are seriously hurting the other teams. The purple team confirmed their position as the best team in the Italian Football League after defeating the Parma Panthers at home in a match that has been considered a classic in Italian football for years.

The direct clash with the Emilians was worth the top spot, and the Tuscan team was ready with a superb offensive performance, thus earning their third win of the season and their fifteenth consecutive IFL win between the Regular Season and the Playoffs.

Next week, against Aquile Ferrara, taking advantage of Parma's Bye Week, they could make a decisive run.

2. Giaguari Torino

They are one of the league's most in-form teams, perhaps the first of the "normal" teams in the 2026 IFL.

The victory over the Rhinos, which came in a final quarter where they had more energy than the Milanese, is the perfect sign to let the entire league know that they too are in the mix.

Meanwhile, the playoffs are here. Last weekend's victory and their current 4-1 record are enough for the Piedmontese team to at least qualify for the Wild Card Round, although the goal now will be to secure at least one of the top two spots, which would guarantee a direct semifinal berth.

3. Frogs Legnano

Frogs Legnano's strong run in this Italian Football League continues. Cody Kent's team earned their third win in as many games, defeating the Ferrara Aquile with a few scares.

An excellent defensive effort, while Ferrara attempted an unexpected comeback, ensured that, despite some adjustments, the Lombardy team remains alive and well in the fight for a direct semifinal berth.

Next week at the Velodromo Vigorelli, the derby against Rhinos Milano will take place. It's an easy match on paper, but one the Black and silver team must absolutely not take lightly.

4. Panthers Parma

The defeat at Guelfi's home was a heavy blow for the Panthers, who, after barely winning their first three games, fell in their first real test of the season.

Brian Michitti's team was shattered by the strongest team in the Italian Football League, and this Saturday's performance epitomizes the Emilian side's blistering start to the season.

The bright spot came from Dominick Fiscelli's return to Italy, scoring three touchdowns in his first game back in black and silver, but that wasn't enough to avoid a bitter defeat.

After next week's Bye Week, where they'll be the only team without a match, another away game awaits them, against Aquile Ferrara.

5. Dolphins Ancona

It was about time. The Dolphins, after two disappointing losses against Giaguari and Panthers, regained their form by easily defeating the Lazio Marines at home.

A great performance from Rik Parker's team, finally clearing the wins column with a 50-point performance, the most of any team in Week 6.

Next week, they'll have the chance to return to .500 with the away match against the Bologna Warriors, a very easy one on paper given their opponents' record.

6. Aquile Ferrara

Another setback for the Estensi, their second in a row this season. After the loss to Giaguari Torino, partly due to poor point management, comes another road defeat, this time against the Frogs.

Despite a comeback attempt in the final quarter, Stefano Zucchelli's team failed to conquer the Stadio Giovanni Mari, further dropping their standings ahead of their home match against Guelfi Firenze.

7. Rhinos Milano

Rhinos Milano's poor run continues, losing to the Giaguari Torino. This is their third defeat in three games.

The team coached by Luca Lorandi showed excellent performances during the match, but their energy ran out in the final period, giving way to a strong final assault by the black and yellow team.

The numerous difficulties encountered mean the Orange-Blacks remain at the bottom of the standings ahead of their home match against the Frogs next weekend.

8. Lazio Marines

Unlike their first three games, the Roman team's fourth defeat of the season was a performance to forget.

In a derby game between disappointed and winless teams against Dolphins Ancona, the commitment shown in the first three games failed, and the defeat was complete.

Next week's match against Giaguari Torino, one of the strongest teams in the tournament, will further complicate the Roman team's dire situation.

9. Warriors Bologna

The break is over for the Warriors, who, after being off the field for over a month and losing their first three games, will finally return to action against the Dolphins, who will arrive at KPro Stadium buoyed by their victory over the Marines.

Will Christian Nobile's team be able to pull off the upset?
