The race for playoff positioning intensified this weekend as both the European Football Alliance (EFA) and the American Football League Europe (AFLE) delivered another slate of important results. While several contenders maintained their momentum, other teams took significant steps forward as the season approaches its midpoint.

Paris Steals Victory at the Death

The Paris Musketeers produced the most dramatic finish of the weekend, rallying late to defeat the Raiders Tirol 24-17.

Paris opened the scoring through Zach Edwards and Hugo Tekedam, but Tirol responded behind quarterback Steven Krajewski and built a 17-10 halftime lead. The Raiders looked close to their first win of the season, but missed chances kept Paris alive.

Jason Bofunda tied the game in the fourth quarter before Edwards led one final drive, finding Tekedam for the winning touchdown with just 16 seconds left. Paris improves to 3-2, while Tirol remains winless despite another competitive performance.

Ravens Continue to Roll

The Munich Ravens stayed unbeaten with a convincing 45-13 victory over the Prague Lions.

Munich took control early, building a 24-0 lead behind Russell Tabor and a sharp offensive start. Prague answered before halftime with two touchdown passes from Jaylon Henderson to William Patterson, cutting the gap to 24-13.

After the break, Munich shut down any comeback hopes. The Ravens controlled possession, dominated up front and added three more touchdowns, including two rushing scores from Justus Seelig. At 4-0, Munich continues to look like one of the league’s strongest teams.

Nordic Storm Survives Frankfurt Test

Nordic Storm moved to 4-0 after a hard-fought 20-12 win over Frankfurt Galaxy.

The nordic side started fast, taking a 13-0 lead through touchdown passes from Jadrian Clark. Frankfurt answered well and gradually worked its way back into the game, cutting the deficit to one point late in the third quarter.

Nordic Storm responded when it mattered most. Glen Toonga scored the decisive fourth-quarter touchdown, and the defense produced key stops to preserve the unbeaten record. Frankfurt showed improvement but could not complete the upset.

AMERICAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE EUROPE (AFLE)

Rhein Fire Responds with Shutout

Rhein Fire bounced back in dominant fashion, defeating the Paris Lights 35-0.

The game changed when Paris quarterback Evan Hillock suffered a hand injury in the first half, forcing backup Marouane Dardour into action. Without their starter, the Lights struggled to sustain drives and could not support a defense that had kept the game close early.

Rhein took control after halftime, leaning on a powerful rushing attack and scoring five touchdowns, four of them on the ground. The result keeps Fire firmly in the championship conversation.

Warriors Earn Historic First Win

The London Warriors claimed the first win in franchise history with a 51-26 victory over the Firenze Red Lions.

Quarterback Karé Lyles delivered his best performance of the season, leading a balanced offense that found success both through the air and on the ground. Andy Owusu scored twice, while Kevin Laryea continued to provide big-play threat in the passing game.

After three straight defeats to open the season, London finally showed the offensive rhythm and efficiency expected from its inaugural campaign.

Panthers Make Championship Statement

The Wroclaw Panthers delivered one of the strongest statements of the week, overwhelming Berlin Thunder 50-12.

Quarterback Jameson Wang accounted for six touchdowns as Wroclaw built a commanding 30-0 halftime lead. Michael Harley Jr., Juan Flores-Calderon and Kacper Jaszewski were among the key contributors in an offense Berlin could not contain.

The Thunder entered with one of the league’s most productive passing attacks, but penalties, protection issues and defensive breakdowns prevented them from competing. The win reinforces Wroclaw’s status as a legitimate title favorite.

Vikings Stay Perfect

The Vienna Vikings extended their unbeaten start with a comfortable 47-20 victory over the Alpine Rams.

Vienna effectively decided the game in the first half, taking advantage of early Rams mistakes and scoring touchdowns on four of its first five possessions. Quarterback Ben Holmes continued his excellent season, throwing for 323 yards and five touchdowns.

Tight ends Florian Bierbaumer and Bernhard Seikovits caught two touchdowns each, while Vienna was able to rest starters in the fourth quarter. The Vikings remain one of AFLE’s most complete teams and a leading championship contender.

With undefeated teams continuing to set the pace in both leagues, the established order at the top remains firmly in place. Munich and Nordic Storm continue to lead the way in the EFA, while Vienna, Wroclaw and Rhein Fire remain among the clear benchmarks in the AFLE. As the season progresses, every victory is becoming increasingly valuable in the race for postseason football.
