1st Place: Calanda Broncos
To be number one, you must beat the champion. Until that happens, I see no reason to list another number one in the power rankings.
2nd Place: Basel Gladiators
How can you bet against 2024 MVP Sky Noble? I would be shocked if Basel doesn't have the best offense again in 2025. And on defense, a Bruno is probably a slight upgrade over a Sauce, if you know you know.
3rd Place: Bern Grizzlies
For many, the Bern Grizzlies are big Swiss Bowl favorites, and for good reason: Many players from the 2022 season have finished their ELF adventure and want to lead Bern to success again after two rebuild years. However, the offense is still a question mark for me.
4th Place: Geneva Seahawks
The Geneva Seahawks have received just as much hype as Bern. The new Clark Evans commitment remains exciting. How much will the veteran play? Can the influencer signing of WR Leo Sarteel and Canadian WR Nykolas Pierre-Masse make an impact?
5th Place: Thun Tigers
The Tigers are one of the best organizations in the NLA. They made it to the Swiss Bowl in 2023 without any import players. They were plagued by injuries in 2024, so I expect them to come back stronger in 2025.
6th Place: St. Gallen Bears
Last season's surprise team. I don't think the Bears will be able to match last year's performance and suffer a sophomore slump, simply because the competition got stronger.
7th Place: Winterthur Warriors
Star player Leroy Rümmeli is leaving Winti for Straubing. Otherwise, the team has a lot of talent, but at the moment there are still too many question marks to start a deep playoff run.
8th Place: Zurich Renegades
The runners-up are suddenly deep in the rebuild. Players like Patrick Grand and Nolan O'Leary move to other NLA teams. The rookies of the year join the Mercenaries. The board was also in a state of upheaval. Zurich is still actively looking for new players shortly before the season which is not a good sign.
