OSLO VIKINGS RETURN … TO NORWAY!
After two years in Sweden, the former norwegian serial champions have announced their return to their home country. In their first year in Superserien, the Vikings (surprinsingly) reached the Semis where they lost to the later champion Carlstad Crusaders and fielded the Leagues MVP in Linebacker Will Sewell Jr. Though after the departure of former HC Derek Mann they couldn’t replicate the success of their inaugural season in 2025!
Now they will return to Norway, where their throne has been vacant for the last two seasons and is currently occupied by the Vålerenga Trolls!
Best of luck, Oslo Vikings, it was a blast.
GÖTEBORG JOINS SUPERSERIEN The Giants are back to back to back Champions of the swedish third and second division (twice) and claim their right of promotion to Sweden’s highest tier of American football.
It will be interesting to see how a completely restructured Giants program (the last competed in Superserien as the Marvels) will stack up against the established competition of Sweden’s top American Football teams.
MEAN MACHINES REBUILD WITH FAMILIAR FACES
The former champion from Stockholm has already made some key announcements for their 2026 season.
HC Fredrik Pilbäck, OC Acke Grünewald, DL Coach Henrik Green and DB Coach Isak Malm all stay on board of the Mean Machines project.
A great sign for Stockholm who now have time to recruit players with their coaching staff already (somewhat) established. It is noteworthy though, that Malm, who formerly served as the DC is only re-signed as a DB Coach and not a Coordinator, which leaves room to speculate who is gonna fill that void in the upcoming season.
SWE3 ANNOUNCES WOMEN’S TACKLE NATIONAL TEAM
The Swedish Federation will once again field a women’s tackle national team in the foreseeable future, with a first camp taking place in November already.
It’s great to see the game grow in so many different ways in Scandinavia.
