What does it take to win an MVP crown? What does it take to be named one of the best? For us, it’s about consistency, impact, and standing out from the crowd to truly make a name for oneself. And since only a Sith deals in absolutes, here’s a list of players who’ve earned the right to be in the conversation.
Note: The names are listed in no particular order of likelihood.
Best French
ATH Adel BAFDILE – Black Panthers
RB Yanis POLIN – Iron Mask
WR Aymeric GUILLEMAUD – Grizzlys
When looking for the best French baller, some names are undoubtedly heard. Adel Bafdile is one of a kind—a true beast across every domain—and the reigning king of the category. He’s the top contender for a back-to-back crown. A rock-solid presence on the team, he makes big plays week in, week out. Last year, he won it without putting up flashy numbers but still locked down every receiver in the league. Now? He’s got six interceptions and a dominant role on his own squad. Why shouldn’t he win it again? There’s no debate.
Or... maybe Yanis Polin would disagree. And honestly, he’s a name you can’t ignore. Last year, he finished as the top running back in the country, racking up 12 touchdowns with a stunning 5.7 yards per carry. He ran for 793 yards, when the second-best RB only hit 532. Sure, he had two more games under his belt, but he was still eight touchdowns ahead. And now? He’s up to 20 touchdowns and averaging nearly seven yards per carry. Want to move the chains? Hand him the pigskin—he’ll get you that first down. But we have to be precise: his team’s scheme is kind of run-based, so he has more chances to receive the ball. By the way, it does NOT change that he is a great player.
Let’s take a closer look at Aymeric Guillemaud. Before returning to the French league, he spent time in the European League of Football (ELF) with the Barcelona franchise before they unfortunately folded after the season. When that chapter closed, he made his way back to Perpignan, where he’s steadily grown into a key piece of the offense. Now firmly installed as a reliable WR2 for quarterback Alexander Fromberg, Aymeric brings consistency, smart route-running, and safe hands to every game. He’s not just filling a role—he’s evolving, improving season after season, and becoming a more complete receiver. That kind of steady progression deserves to be highlighted.
Best Foreign
QB Brody HAHN – Molosses
WR Dominique THOMPSON – Argonautes
QB José TABORA JR – Black Panthers
Like many other leagues, France attracts a growing number of foreign players, all driven by the hunger to prove themselves, win, and leave their mark.
How could we talk about MVPs without mentioning Super (Brody) Hahn, the well-known quarterback of the Molosses and last year’s MVP winner? In our eyes, he’s still the best quarterback in the league. His ability to turn chaos into positive plays is remarkable, but what’s even more impressive is his composure under pressure. He never dwells too long on a mistake—or at least, he doesn’t let it define the rest of his game. We genuinely enjoy watching him thread the needle with deep throws or scramble away from the big men chasing him down. Sure, he still struggles with accuracy at times, but no more than he did last season, and that didn’t stop him from winning then.
If we had to place another bet, it would probably be on Dominique Thompson, arguably the best receiver in the game right now. The former PAC-12 and Big Sky player is an absolute force, whether lining up in the slot or out wide. He’s got strong, reliable hands, crisp route-running, and the versatility to be a constant threat anywhere on the field—short, intermediate, or deep. Whether it’s a quick flat route, a crossing pattern over the middle, or a go ball downfield, Thompson delivers.
Let’s give some well-deserved recognition to José Tabora Jr. After missing an entire season due to injury, he came back with a fire that only unfinished business can spark. Watching his teammates win a ring without him would’ve broken some, but for him, it lit a fire. He returned with one goal: to show he could be the one to lead them there too. Right now, Tabora Jr. is the most precise passer in the league, boasting an incredible 72.7% completion rate. He’s also on pace to throw for over 20 touchdowns this season. What an impressive comeback. If there were an official award for it, he’d be a lock for Comeback Player of the Year.
Best Young (U24)
S Mathis DELOBEL – Molosses
WR Timothe LABARRIERE – Iron Mask
WR Alexandre AGNIMEL – Argonautes
EDGE Kenny TIA – Molosses
Ever see someone your age—or younger—absolutely crushing it at something you love, and suddenly question every decision you’ve made? Yeah, same. Here are four guys who make us feel like we seriously fumbled our football careers.
Mathis Delobel is just 21 years old and already making waves on the field. This guy isn’t even out of college yet in France, but he’s already racked up four interceptions against quarterbacks? That’s no small feat. To be so young and already dominating at such a high level is a clear sign of his talent and potential. With his skills and determination, he’s definitely one to watch out for in the future. It’s rare to see someone with such raw ability and a knack for making big plays this early in their career. If he keeps this up, there’s no telling how far he can go. Definitely someone we’ll be hearing a lot more about in the coming years.
Talking about precocity, we absolutely had to take a moment to speak our minds about the young Timothe. How on earth are you this good when you were playing on the junior team not even a full year ago? The leap this kid has made is nothing short of jaw-dropping. Timothe’s already put up four touchdowns and racked up 601 yards, and he’s doing it all with a sense of ease that’s hard to ignore. Every time he steps onto the field, it seems like he’s got another highlight-reel moment in the making. For someone so young, the game doesn’t seem too big or too fast—he’s making it look effortless. At this rate, who knows how much more he’s capable of? One thing’s for sure: his future is looking incredibly bright, and we’ll all be watching closely as his journey unfolds.
Another receiver you definitely need to keep on your radar is one of the South’s brightest gems: Alexandre Agnimel. At just 21 years old, he’s already proving he belongs at the top level. Playing alongside the team’s star receiver and even an international import, you’d think the spotlight might be hard to find, but Alexandre makes sure every opportunity that comes his way matters. He makes the most out of every single pass, turning even the smallest windows into big plays. In a stacked offense, his ability to shine speaks volumes. Quietly efficient, consistently impressive, Alexandre is not just holding his own—he’s building something special.
Last but definitely not least, let’s talk about another young beast coming out of the Molosses system: Kenny Tia. He might not be out there on every snap just yet, but when he gets his chance, he makes it count. He’s clearly on the right path when it comes to developing pure football skills. And let’s be real: the dawg in him? It’s already barking. Give him a little more time, and it won’t just bark—it’ll bite, and bite hard. Kenny’s coming, and he’s coming with purpose.
